Welcome to my Portrait Gallery.  Although varied, I love to photograph people in their natural environment.   I love to make a portrait that captures a person's spirit, in an image suitable for framing, a work of art, something to perhaps hang on the wall for all to enjoy.  Sometimes I create a special world with props and light, however, most of my images feature the eyes of the person whether they are engaged with the viewer or looking off to something else.  I hope to engage with my subjects in a special way to bring out their individual personalities, to make a connection.  Sessions are never in a rush, but relaxed and friendly, taking the time needed, and to forget we are in the middle of a photo session - we are having a fun experience, a moment in time that will become as memorable as the photograph itself.

How would you like to be photographed?

My goal is to create images that help my clients feel good about themselves.  I want them to have fun and help them relax in front of my camera.

I am primarily a portrait photographer, I love to empower people with images that tell a story and create a landscape with a fine artful finish. I loves to create composite images that are designed to hang on the wall. I also photograph children,  families, equestrian, events, business head shots. branding and pets - this includes chickens!  I occasionally photograph weddings and see myself doing more of this in the coming months.  Smaller gatherings are preferred.

Anita "Neets", has been taking photographs for 40 plus years. Her work can be seen in over a dozen published, designer coffee table books, where Anita is author/photographer/designer/writer, including Teddy Bear Magic, Victorian Chic and Decorating with Seashells. Her photography has been published in varied national magazines and publications, having 9 magazine covers to her credit. She has recently been featured as a contributor to Salt Lake City magazine. Her photographs of the teddy bears and antique lace gowns, that she designs and sews by hand have appeared on Hallmark greeting cards.  Anita is presently creating children picture books that she writes and illustrates, and is working on a YA novel. For relaxation she loves to sing and play the guitar.

She is the mother of 4 grown children and has 27 great grandchildren. She lives in a cozy cottage with her cat, Ruby Jane.
